Confused?

Poor readers, probably confused as hell about what precisely has happened.

More thoughts ..

1. Seems a silly/strange thing to say, but I feel more mortal now. Not that I felt invincible before. Maybe it's because of the return of my emotions. I think that may be what it is.

2. I think he and I were at different pools, and neither of us knew it. Like when you're looking along the ground from where you are, and you see nothing but smooth ground between where you are and where the other is ... but in fact in front of them stands a chasm they must cross to get to where you are. The pool into which he was inviting me was not the pool that was before me, but he unaware of that fact; could not see the swirling pool before me. Me - I thought he could see the pool I was about to enter, but in hindsight I don't think he could.
